UTILIZATION OF “E” SHEETS FOR SCREEN MARKING IN HSSC ANNUAL EXAMINATION 2019:
What is Screen Marking? In Screen Marking answer sheets, attempted by candidates in Centres, are scanned and marked by Examiners on Computer. Adoption of Screen Marking shall tide over the involved risks of paper’s transportation and assessment of paper through single examiner etc. One paper will be marked by 8-10 examiners who will mark respective portion. It will reduce not only variance in marking but also ensure fair grading. It shall certainly improve the prevailing assessment quality by deputing the well professionally qualified assessment staff from all over the country instead of particular areas which will eventually eliminate the possibilities of various tabulation errors. Use of “E” Sheets for Biology and Computer Science subjects at HSSC Level for Annual Examination 2019 In Annual Examination 2018 at HSSC level, the FBISE had introduced Screen Marking in the subject of Computer Science and the students for this subject attempted paper on “E” Sheets. On follow up basis, this year (2019), one more subject has been added and as such the students of Computer Science and Biology will attempt the subjective portion (Section B, C and D) on the provided “E” Sheet for papers of both parts (HSSC-I & II). “E” Sheet is an ordinary answer sheet/copy however it has been divided in such a way that each question shall be attempted on space provided/allocated for each question and its part. Space has been allocated for different questions keeping in view maximum possible length for response of each question. In this way the candidates will attempt their questions in the allocated/provided space for each answer and not beyond the same. “The Supervisory Staff and Examiners (Centre Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and Assessment Staff to be deputed) as well as the concerned students are advised to go through the instructions for proper comprehension and facilitation without any complication at the time of examination”.

سکرین مارکنگ کیا ہے؟ سکرین مارکنگ کے نظام میں امتحانی کاپی جس پر طالب علم نے جوابات تحریر کئے ہیں کو ایگزامینر کمپیوٹر پر Scan کر کے مارکنگ کرتے ہیں۔ سکرین مارکنگ کے نظام کو اپنانے میں پرچہ جات کی ترسیل اور مارکنگ سسٹم جو کہ ایک ایگزامنر سے کیا جارہا تھا کے ضمن میں بہتری آئے گی۔ کیونکہ ایک پرچہ آٹھ سے دس ایگزامنرج کے ذریعے جانچا جائے گا ۔ اس طرح Variation میں بھی کمی ہونے کے ساتھ ساتھ صحیح نتائج کا عمل یقینی ہو پائے گا ۔ ایگزامنرا اسٹاف جو کہ پیشہ وارانہ صلاحیت اور قابلیت کے حامل ہوں گے ان کے توسط سے مخصوص علاقہ جات کی بجائے ملک گیرسطح پراستفادہ حاصل کیا جائے گا۔ نتیجتہً اس نظام سے نتائج کو مرتب کرتے ہوئے ممکنہ غلطیوں سے اجتناب ممکن ہو پائے گا۔ کمپیوٹر سا ئنس اور بیالوجی کے مضامین میں "ای شیٹ" کا انٹرمیڈیٹ کے سالانہ امتحانات 2019 میں استعمال فیڈرل بورڈ اسلام آباد نے سال 2018 کے سالانہ امتحان میں کمپیوٹر سائنس کا پرچہ (اعلیٰ ثانوی امتحان کی سطح پر) “ای شیٹ” پر حل کروایا تھا۔ اس کی پیروی کرتے ہوئے اس سال کے سالانہ امتحان 2019 میں کمپیوٹر سائنس کے ساتھ بیالوجی کا مضمون بھی شامل کر دیا ہے ۔ اس طرح ان مضامین کے طُلباو طالبات فراہم کردہ “ای شیٹ” پر متعلقہ سوال کے لئے مخصوص کردہ جگہ پر ہی جوابات تحریر کریں گے۔ اس ضمن میں یہ وضاحت ضروری ہے کہ مخصوص کردہ جوابات کے لئے متعلقہ کاپی میں فراہم کی جانیوالی جگہ جوابات کے لئے کافی رکھی گئی ہے ۔ لہٰذا طُلباو طالبات اپنے جوابات کو فراہم کردہ اور مخصوص شدہ جگہ پر ہی تحریر کریں نہ کہ علاوہ ازیں۔ متعلقہ امتحانی عملہ(سپرنٹینڈینٹ، ڈپٹی سپرنٹینڈینٹ اور ایگزامنرا) جن کا امتحانی سینٹر اور مارکنگ کے لئے تقرر کیا جانا ہے کے ساتھ ساتھ متعلقہ طُلبا وطالبات کو ہدایت کی جاتی ہے کہ “ای شیٹ” کے لئے درج شدہ ہدایات کا بغور جائزہ لیا جائے تا کہ دوران امتحان کسی پیچیدگی کا سامنا نہ کرنا پڑے ۔
